2005 Chanel Camellia Pendant Necklace
The most desired label in the world. Silver plated snake chain. Features delicate black and white enamel camellia pendant with iconic CC logo centre. Closes with spring ring clasp. Authenticity mark signed Chanel and dated 2005.
There are many suggestions as to why the Camellia was Coco Chanel`s favourite flower. One was that Coco Chanel was said to have been deeply moved by Sarah Bernhardt`s performance of " Lady of the Camellias" from a very young age.
Another charming one - she was asked one morning what she was having for breakfast. "A Camellia", she said.
The flower of Chanel was first pinned onto her chiffon dresses in 1923 and then transformed onto many of her couture designs and jewellery to suit her everyday fantasies.
