Our third annual vintage jewellery afternoon tea with the lovely Elizabeth Holmes and Atlas Adventures was such a treat! We welcomed another wonderful group of ladies visiting London, ready for a little British tradition, plenty of tea and, of course, lots of jewellery.

It all began three years ago in our very own London showroom, where we hosted our first afternoon with Elizabeth and the ladies. You can read all about our first adventure here.

Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of returning to The Goring Hotel for the past two years, and it’s become an afternoon we really look forward to. There’s something rather fun about packing up trays and trays of jewellery and turning a beautiful tea room into our own little treasure trove. We even bring along a cupcake stand, but instead of cakes, it’s filled with earrings! Who needs a Victoria sponge when you can have a pair of vintage earrings? And naturally, we send everyone home with our very own branded Tiptree jam. Jewellery and jam... a pretty good combination, if you ask me!

Every year, I get a little excited (OK, maybe very excited!) about sharing the story of Susan Caplan and our growing range of designer vintage jewellery, from how it all began to where we are today. There have been so many wonderful milestones along the way, from seeing our jewellery featured in The Crown to the very special moment of seeing Princess Catherine wearing our pieces. I love looking back at how far we’ve come, but what makes it even more special is sharing those memories with people who are just as fascinated by the stories behind jewellery as I am.

Vintage jewellery isn't just about how it looks; it's about where it's been, the people who've worn it and the new memories waiting to be made. Seeing someone try on a piece and fall completely in love with it is one of my favourite parts of what I do.

A huge thank you to Whitney, Lucy, Amy and Elizabeth for including us again, and to all the lovely ladies who made the afternoon so memorable. It's such a joy to share a little of my journey and the world of Susan Caplan with everyone.

Here's to more tea, more jewellery and many more afternoons together!
